Job Description

Our family run company in the outskirts of Maghera are looking to recruit an accounts assistant to cover a maternity cover either 4 or 5 days per week

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Input of Invoices from suppliers, sub contractors
  • Payroll- weekly
  • CIS returns
  • Keeping spreadsheets up to date on a daily basis- using Excel
  • VAT Returns
  • Chasing Payments
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Liaising with customer and customers on a daily basis
  • General administrator duties to include telephone call , emailing, scanning and photocopying and typing letters

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE's Maths and English Grade B or above and at least 3 GCSE's at Grades A -C
  • At least 2 years recent experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working with a computerised accounts package
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications
  • To work as part of a team to achieve results
  • Maintain confidentiality of information at all times is essential for this position
