Job Description

Our client based between Ballymena and Antrim are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Book keeper to join their team to cover maternity leave from April 2019 to at least April 2020.

Reporting to the Assistant Accountant the successful person's key duties will include:

  • Sales Ledger Management (inclusive of Credit control and monthly shutdowns)
  • Maintenance of the Purchase Ledger (inclusive of monthly shutdowns)
  • Posting of receipts/payments to cashbook and bank reconciliations
  • Website sales report and reconciliation of on-line payment accounts
  • Nominal Ledger work (journals, accruals, repayments)
  • Stock management
  • General administrative/ adhoc duties required

Hours of work will be Mon to Thurs 8.30am to 5.30pm and Friday 8.30am to 1pm however candidates may be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime if necessary

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 4 GCSE's Grade C+ including Maths and English
  • AAT Level 2 at pass grade
  • Minimum of 1 years previous computerised book keeping experience gained within the last 2/3 years based on recognised accounting software
  • Excellent computer literacy and numerical skills including working knowledge of computerised accounts packages
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Self Motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational / time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Flexible and ada[table regarding task and duties

Desirable Criteria:

  • AAT Level3 at pass grade
  • Previous computerised book keeping experience within a manufacturing environment
