Job description

Main Duties of role:

  • Planning and delivering lecturers to students enrolled on Agriculture courses on a range of topics including Farm Animal Production and Dairy Production;

  • Monitoring student attendance;

  • Setting and marking student assessments, providing feedback, preparing students for examinations and monitoring student progress on their course;
  • Tutoring student groups and individual students;

  • Ensure compliance with CAFRE and Awarding body quality assurance systems;

  • Attendance at teaching team meetings.

  • All other duties as allocated by Line Manger

Specific experience required

The agency worker must possess:

  • At least a Pass degree, or an equivalent qualification in the relevant subject as listed below or in a closely related subject;


The following areas of expertise are required:

  • Agriculture;

  • Land based technology;

  • Business Management in a Land based context;

  • Environmental Conservation;

  • Farm Mechanisation and Buildings;

  • Equine Studies;

  • Veterinary Science;

  • Nutrition, Food Technology and Horticulture.
