Job Description

The main purpose of the role is the repair and overhaul of composite components on commercial aircraft

including flight controls, nacelles, wing to body faring and overhead bins

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 3 year's previous experience as an Aircraft Fitter/Composite Repair Technician
  • Able to manage own workload, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Must possess excellent English verbal and written to a technical level

The Role:
As an Aircraft Fitter your responsibilities will be:

  • Assembly and installation of components or assemblies, functional testing/trouble shooting of aircraft systems
  • General fitting and assembly of aircraft components including repair of metallic and composite materials
  • Detecting damage on components and determining the proper repairs techniques and materials required
  • Reading and understanding of the relevant repair documentation, work orders and drawings
  • Be able to use test/measurement equipment
  • Quality inspection and technical documentation of work performed
  • Care and maintenance of tools

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4pm, Friday 7.30am-3pm

Pay Rate: £11.50/hr (overtime mab be available at time an a half)
