ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN APPRENTICESHIP - 4 YEAR TRAINING PROGRAMME

DuPont - a global leader in science and technology operating in 36 countries worldwide - is seeking to recruit candidates for its dynamic Engineering Technician Apprenticeship.
DuPont (UK) Industrial Limited's four-year apprenticeship scheme offers a unique opportunity to suitable individuals to develop within a global, multi-national organisation with a vision to become the world's premier innovation company. Successful candidates will work alongside industry experts to develop the skills appropriate for future positions within DuPont or other manufacturing organisations.
Year one of the apprenticeship, will focus on acquiring the relevant knowledge and experience to achieve a NVQ Level 2 plus appropriate technical certificates through North West Regional college. Year's two, three and four will be principally based at the Company's Kevlar® manufacturing site at Maydown, gaining practical experience. This practical experience will be supported by one-day per week in North West Regional college acquiring underpinning knowledge and theory to enable the achievement a NVQ level 3 qualification in recognition of acquired and much sought-after dual electrical and mechanical skills. The Apprenticeship scheme is designed to offer stretch and progression.
Key capabilities required:
- Demonstrable communication and team-working ability.
- Good organisation skills and confidence to work independently.
- Demonstrable methodical approach to problem solving.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C including Maths, English Language and one Science subject.
- Five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English Language and one Science subject above grade C.
- Evidence of additional accredited Engineering qualification(s).
