Job Description

Assistant Accountant

I am urgently looking for an Assistant Accountant for my Client based in Bangor. The position will initially be a 6-month contract with the potential of a permanent position for the right candidate. This role has the responsibility of assisting in the administration and financial affairs of the Company and participating in the smooth running of the office.


  • Processing of invoices and payments
  • Maintaining Creditors Ledger
  • Bank and Credit Card statement reconciliations
  • Petty Cash
  • Preparing lodgements
  • Internal audit tasks
  • Assist in product ordering and purchasing
  • Fixed Asset Register
  • General Office duties, i.e., telephone, reception, postage etc
  • Assisting Finance Manager as required/directed


  • 4 GCSE's at least Grade C level or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years in a finance environment
  • Proficient in the use of excel
  • Experience in Sage Line 50 or equivalent
  • Ability to be a flexible and co-operative member of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Studying towards a relevant Fiance qualification
