Job Description

Grafton Recruitment has been appointed as HSCNI's number 1 recruitment provider for Admin, Clerical and Support Services.

Band 2 Clerical Assistant required on a temporary basis based in Larne Area.

Role: Band 2 Clerical Assistant

Rate of Pay: £7.83 per hour

Location: Larne

Hours: 18.75 hours (Wed, Thurs AM and Fri All day )

Duration: Temporary

Main duties/Responsibilities:

  • Undertake general clerical duties and provide clerical support
  • Input and extract information from appropriate computer systems/ keyboard duties
  • Undertake reception duties
  • Photocopying and preparing documentation/ papers for distribution/ processing
  • Open, sort and distribute mail
  • Prepare files, undertake routine filing duties and maintain an efficient, up to date record keeping system
  • Deal with telephone calls and process messages and queries as appropriate
  • Liaise closely with other departments, deal with internal and external queries
  • Assist in the production of statistical information
  • Monitor and order stationary and office supplies
  • Operate automated office equipment
  • Cash handling, including petty cash and lodgements
  • Type reports, memos, letters, forms etc from manuscript or digital software as required
  • Maintain a high level of confidentially of information in line with current legislation and policies within the Department

Essential Criteria:

  • 1 year clerical experience plus (Equivalent Qualifications Considered)
  • 3 GCSEs (Grade A-C)
  • RSA Stage II Typing / Word Processing
  • The ability to work in a team
  • Effective communication skills
