Job Description

Grafton Recruitment has been appointed as HSCNI's number 1 recruitment provider for Admin, Clerical and Support Services.

Band 3 Finance accounts Assistant based in Knockbracken Healthcare Park, Saintfield Road, Belfast.

Role: Band 3 Finance officer

Rate of Pay: £8.90 per hour

Location: Knockbracken Healthcare Park

Hours: 37.5 Hours

Duration: 3 Months

1.

To process invoices (input and verification), travel expenses and other payments.

2.

To receipt income and prepare lodgements of cash and cheque income on behalf of the Trust

3.

To assist in the preparation of journals for entry into Financial Systems including prepayments and accruals.

4.

To maintain the Creditors Database.

5.

To reconcile monthly Prompt Pay Reposts and prepare associated graphs.

6.

To assist the Financial Accounts Officer with the weekly payment run.

7.

To verify LAPS and SIS payments, as and when required.

8.

To investigate queries from internal and external customers in relation to invoices, travel expenses and other payments and provides assistance and advice as required.

9.

To analyse basic financial information to identify and resolve errors and discrepancies including the allocation of income against invoices and the reconciliation of the Debtors Billing System Sales Ledger, Monthly Prompt Pay Report and suppliers payments.

10.

To suggest changes to internal Departmental procedures as identified and be in involved in the continuous improvement and development of processes.

11.

To be responsible for ensuring that financial information is processed in accordance with the Trust's procedures and processes in order to provide information for statutory returns.

12.

To ensure that financial information is completed in accordance with the Trust's financial timescales.

13.

To sign cash receipts on behalf of the Trust.

14.

To issue petty cash.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

1.

Membership of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Intermediate Level (NVQ Level 3) or equivalent professional qualification

OR

Membership of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Foundation Level (NVQ Level 2) or equivalent professional qualification and a minimum of one year's experience in a computerised finance environment.

OR

5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English/English Language and Maths or equivalent educational qualifications and a minimum of one year's recent experience in a computerised finance environment.

OR

Two years recent experience in a computerised finance environment.

Desirable Criteria

1.

A working knowledge of HSC financial systems.
