Job Description

Band 5 Data Analyst on a temporary basis based at Linenhall Street, Belfast.

Role: Band 5 Data Analyst

Rate of Pay: 11.66 per hour

Location: Linenhall Street (transport to travel would be advantage)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Duration: 31/03/2020 first instance

JOB SUMMARY

The Data Analyst will form an integral part of the Improvement Hub assisting Health and Social Care Services across Northern Ireland improve their quality improvement work and will be an internal resource on data management. Tasks will include coordinating and undertaking detailed data analysis of quality improvement data, interpretation and reporting of quality related data at both local and regional levels and providing data, as well as analytics advice and support to the HSCQI hub and nominated frontline teams.

They will attend a variety of quality improvement related meetings and present data as required, implement creative and innovative ways to present complex data to different stakeholders in a way that is understandable and generates interest in the programmes and maintain the information and data required for quality improvement dashboards and all regional improvement initiatives.

Orientation and in house training to support familiarity with some of the chosen software packages for collating and displaying data will be provided. The post holder will not be handling patient or client identifiable data sets.

Essential Criteria:

  • Able to collate, analyse, store and display information on Microsoft Excel or equivalent
  • Able to work as part of a small team and independently
  • Good interpersonal /communication skills
