Job Description
Bookkeeper
My client based in Kells urgently requires a Bookkeeper for a minimum of 11 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced office environment.
The role:
- Manage purchase ledger including Supplier payments and month end shutdown
- Cash book management (including bank reconciliation)
- Checking purchase invoices
- Manage sales ledger
- Posting invoices daily, from Dear reports, to customer accounts
- Posting customer receipts
- Credit Control
- Month end shutdown
- Monthly website sales reports
- Generation of sales invoices to customers
Key skills:
- Minimum of 4 GCSE's passed at 'C' grade or above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 1 year's previous computerised book-keeping experience gained within the last 2/3 years based on recognised accounting software
- Previous computerised book-keeping experience within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent computer literacy and numerical skills including working knowledge of computerised accounts packages
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational / time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Flexible and adaptable regarding tasks and duties
