Job Description

Bookkeeper

My client based in Kells urgently requires a Bookkeeper for a minimum of 11 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced office environment.

The role:

  • Manage purchase ledger including Supplier payments and month end shutdown
  • Cash book management (including bank reconciliation)
  • Checking purchase invoices
  • Manage sales ledger
  • Posting invoices daily, from Dear reports, to customer accounts
  • Posting customer receipts
  • Credit Control
  • Month end shutdown
  • Monthly website sales reports
  • Generation of sales invoices to customers

Key skills:

  • Minimum of 4 GCSE's passed at 'C' grade or above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 1 year's previous computerised book-keeping experience gained within the last 2/3 years based on recognised accounting software
  • Previous computerised book-keeping experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent computer literacy and numerical skills including working knowledge of computerised accounts packages
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational / time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Flexible and adaptable regarding tasks and duties
