Grafton Recruitment are working in partnership with a large public sector organisation to recruit for a temporary Business Support Officer to start ASAP for a duration of 4 weeks with possible extension
Pay rate: £15.06p/h
Location: Belfast City Centre
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday-Friday
Applicants must have a relevant third level qualification
Applicants must have at least 2 years' relevant human resources and administrative experience in the following under noted areas:
- provision of advice and guidance on HR policies and processes to operational management
- assisting in the management of disciplinary, grievance and absence management
- assisting in the development of administrative processes and procedures
- Direct supervision of administrative/HR staff
To be responsible to the Business Coordinator (HR/Administration) in assisting with the provision of all administrative, quality and human resource matters to ensure the business needs of the department are met in an efficient and cost effective manner.
To assist the Business Support Coordinator (HR/Administration) in providing advice and guidance on administration, quality and human resource matters including but not exclusively; employee relations; attendance management; discipline and grievance; training and development; payroll; recruitment and health and safety matters to all staff across the department.
To assist with the management of all procedures, information and reporting with regard to all aspects of human resources, quality and administration.In conjunction with the Business Coordinator (HR/Administration), to identify the business support needs of the department and to assist in developing and implementing staffing arrangements to meet these needs.
To ensure accurate and timely production of all information required for reports, official returns, and for performance measurement.
To supervise and be responsible for programming the workload and priorities of any assigned support staff in liaison with the Business Coordinator (HR/Administration).
To assist the Business Coordinator (HR/Administration) in providing management support to the senior management team, managers and officers on a departmental wide basis as appropriate.
To assist with the implementation and coordination of health and safety matters and to liaise with the Health and Safety Manager as appropriate
To assist with the timely and effective operation of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
To participate as directed in the business area's selection interview procedure.
To undertake such other relevant duties as may from time to time be required.
