Job Description

Grafton Recruitment are working in partnership with a large public sector organisation to recruit a temporary Development Assistant - EOII to start ASAP for a duration of 7 Months +

Pay rate: 0-12 week's £8.21 per hour

13+ week's £12.86 per hour

Location: Belfast, BT9

Hours: Mon - Fri 9.00am - 5.00pm

Essential Criteria

  • Applicants must possess by the closing date for applications:

  • GCE 'A' level passes in 2 separate subjects; and

  • GCSE/GCE ('O' level) at grades A, B or C in both English and Maths.

Duties

  • To assist with the administration and delivery of the work of the Participation Team. The role will focus on the Community Planning Process and the Every Body Active 2020 programme, but is not limited to functions including:
  • Following up queries directly with District Councils and Community/Voluntary organisations as necessary;
  • Representing Sport NI at task and finish group meetings at Community Planning Partnerships;
  • Ensuring that manual and computerised records are maintained and updated;
  • Preparation of routine correspondence;
  • Collating and inputting monitoring and evaluation data; and
  • Administration and coordination of Sport NI Creating Sporting Insight seminars

    General Administration

  • Implement and maintain systems and procedures.

  • Diary management for self, line manager, team as required.

  • Respond to enquiries regarding programmes and awards, either in writing or in person or by telephone.

  • Draft papers, reports and policy documents as discussed and agreed by line manager.

  • Ensure completeness of documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • Minutes taking, typing up and circulation as directed.

  • Filing and retrieval of records as required.

  • Assist in the updating of web and social media content.

  • Organise and contribute to the running of meetings, networks, workshops and training and education opportunities for key partners and individuals.

    Information Management

  • Using Management Information Systems, to manage, monitor, report and recommend actions;

  • Extract reports and statistics from Management Information System as requested.

    General

  • Assist Development Officers to deliver a friendly, efficient, and effective service to partner organisations.

  • To provide relief cover for reception and postal duties on a rota basis when required.

  • To take an active part in the preparation and participation of annual Performance & Development Reviews, including the identification and bringing to the attention of your line manager areas of learning and development to meet agreed objectives.

  • Any other relevant and related duties as may reasonably be required by your line manager from time to time.
