Finance Officer
Newry
Temporary

The Client: Local Government body based in Newry, serving local residents.

The Role: To be responsible to the Programmes Manager for the financial administration & compliance of Programmes, including PEACE & the Strategic Investment Fund. To assist in the development, implementation & review of all financial administrative systems, processes & documentation related to the Programmes to ensure full compliance with legal, audit & funder requirements.


Hours of work: 37 hrs per week


Requirements:
* Please demonstrate that you have a Level 4 qualification (in line with the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)), for e.g. HNC, HND etc. AND 1 year's experience in ALL of the following areas:
o Financial monitoring and verification of funded programmes/projects
o Experience of auditing claims, which included making recommendations for changes
* OR In lieu of above qualification, please demonstrate that you have 2 years' experience in all of the above areas
* Please demonstrate that you are competent in use of e-mail and Microsoft office applications including word and excel.
* Please demonstrate that you are competent in use of e-mail and Microsoft office applications including word and excel.
* Please confirm that you hold a full current driving licence and access to transport, OR access to transport to meet the requirements of the post.
* Please confirm you are able to work outside of normal office hours, including evenings, weekends and public/bank holidays.


Desirable:
* Please demonstrate that you have work experience with European Union funded programmes, particularly in the voluntary sector.
* Please demonstrate that you have practical experience of Grants Management System


In Return:
* Rates of Pay: £13.99 p/hr
* Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per annum
