Job Description

Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation requires a temporary part time ICT Project Manager to start as soon as possible for a temporary assignment expected to last for up to three months with possible extension

Pay rate: £19.01 p/h

Location: Belfast

Hours: 18.75 hours per week

Essential Criteria

A 3rd level IT qualification and a minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar role,

OR (in the absence of a 3rd level IT qualification) a minimum of 4 years relevant experience, in an ICT Service Delivery role, including similar challenges and responsibilities.


ITIL Foundation Certificate for Service Management

3 Years' experience in the provision of support to and implementation of, complex IT systems.

3 years' experience managing 3rd party goods or services supply contracts to include management of budgets

Demonstrable IT technical knowledge and experience, with supporting all ICT aspects of a business project from design through development, testing, implementation and production to service introduction.

Demonstrable experience of developing relationships both internal (within the organisation) and external (service delivery organisations or vendors) to deliver appropriate and cost effective ICT services.

Access to a form of transport to enable the successful candidate to carry out their role.

A requirement to participate in an out of hours on-call rota as well as a requirement to work overtime; including weekends, bank holidays an privilege holidays.


The purpose of the role is to manage the development and ongoing maintenance of the IT Service Level Management process, including Service Catalogues, Service Level Agreements (SLA's), Operational Level Agreements. To engage, on a regular basis, with internal ICT customers and external service providers to review performance against the service levels and develop any corrective action plans

Duties will include but not limited to:

Business relationship management between internal business customers, ICT department and suppliers, to ensure customer service excellence in a courteous and professional manner.

Manage the development and implementation of an appropriate configuration management process to ensure all ICT assets are appropriately recorded, managed and monitored. To ensure compliance and adherence with business policy on asset disposal.

Manage the implementation of business applications to ensure an overall managed system is deployed that meets the business needs and integrates within the business area's infrastructure framework.

Ensure compliance and adherence to ICT procurement policies and to ensure all proposed spend is within the appropriate budget line. To liaise with procurement and external service providers and vendors in respect of any ICT procurement or tender activity.

Support the provision of external benchmarking of internal service delivery to ensure it reflects best practice within the industry.

Support and contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of ICT policies, strategies, and processes to facilitate the effective and efficient use of the ICT infrastructure throughout the business.

Manage the ongoing development and implementation of the organization wide IT Disaster Recover plans.

Represent ICT on working groups, workshops, business projects and at other meetings on a consultative basis. Provide ICT feedback as and when required.

Assist with management of an appropriate configuration management process to manage the ongoing development and implementation of ICT policies, strategies, and processes to facilitate the effective and efficient use of the ICT infrastructure throughout the business.

Responsible for communicating ICT policy and processes to internal customers and external service partners and vendors.

Decide, in conjunction with the IT Service Management Manager, the appropriate methods and processes to be implemented in support of the provision of best in class IT services.
