Job Description

Our well established local charity are looking to recruit and IT Skills Coach to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

Hours: Full time 25 hours per week ( Mon-Thurs 8.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 8.30am- 3.15pm - 45 mins lunch)

The Role:

The Overall Purpose of the role is to support the recovery of individuals with mental ill health through effective planning and delivery of programmes of accredited ICT programmes which will meet their individual needs and prepare them for progression towards further education, training or employment.

The Post holder will be required to provide accredited training in the following areas:

  • Digital Skills
  • ECDL
  • OCN

Duties will include:

  • Training Delivery, assessment and review
  • Support client developments
  • Quality Assuring service delivery
  • Health and Safety
  • Personal training, development and practice
  • Operational targets

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade A*- C or RQF Level 2 equivalent
  • Recognised RQF Level 3 IT qualification
  • Occupationally competent to deliver BCS Qualifications
  • Evidence of delivering vocational/accredited IT training in a group setting, i.e. OCN, ECDL, NVQ or BCS
  • Able to demonstrate good communications skills
  • Proven ability to effectively support and work as a member of the team
  • Proven ability to deliver business results
  • Strong commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement and the delivery of best practice
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility, self motivation, confidence and ability to use initiative
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate alignment with core values and organisational behaviours

Desirable Criteria:

  • Certificate in teaching or equivalent
  • Paid experience in a mental health or other relevant setting
  • Evidence of having undertaken client focused, needs based assessment, action planning and programme delivery

Additional requirements:

  • To successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure check via the Access NI Service before commencement of employment
