Job Description

Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation requires a temporary full time Leakage Data Management Technician to start as soon as possible for a temporary assignment expected to last until March 2019 with possible extension.

Pay rate: £12.36/h

Location: Ballymena

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

Essential Criteria

A minimum of two years' Operational experience to include at least two of the following

· The operation of a water network.

· District Metered Area (DMA) management,

· Pressure management

· Leakage detection

Proficient IT Skills including Microsoft Office to include (word, excel and outlook)

Medically fit to undertake relevant training e.g. working in confined spaces. (Please note that due to Health & Safety regulations there is a maximum weight limit of 17.5 stone)

A current valid driving license to fulfill the duties of this role

Duties

To undertake field activities in relation to data collection, date integrity and data consistency in regards to flows and pressures, network connectivity, DMA boundary confirmation and the maintenance of PRVs & pressure managed areas.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Responsible for ensuring that flow & pressure field data is complete, accurate, operational and accessible via the deployment and retrieval of data logging equipment, working in close liaison with the Leakage Data Management Unit as well as using company IT systems.

Responsible for the commissioning and maintenance of Pressure Reducing Valves (PRVs) and District Metered Area (DMA) meters and ensure prompt investigation and resolution of faults in same.

Undertake PCC integrity checks including leakage detection, data validation activities and household surveys.

Liaise and work with Networks Water/Leakage Detection Operatives, Field Managers, Area Managers and other NI Water functions regarding Operational issues and requirements.
