Maintenance Engineer

Continental Day Shift

£15.70 per hour

My client is one of Ireland's most successful and innovative manufacturers and is a market leader in the packaging industry.

Your new role as a Maintenance Technician;

• Take responsibility for all maintenance activities whilst on shift
• Supervise and support Shift Fitters on an ongoing basis to utilize personnel to the best of their skill level and ensure all procedures are adhered
• Co-ordinate and carry out PM/PdM & breakdown activities, resolving causes of defects
• Provide support and handover to callout services to ensure reliability and performance of the plants machinery in line with agreed service levels
• Provide adequate cover for Shift Fitters as and when required
• Carry out daily assessment of machine(s) to assess what work has to be done and prioritise urgent jobs to ensure maximum output from machines
• Carry out fault diagnosis of electronic, mechanical, pneumatic & PLC control systems to resolve breakdowns and prevent future occurrences
• Carry out the maintenance & repair of existing machinery including PM, PdM (predictive maintenance tasks), breakdowns etc to improve process reliability and efficiency, minimize downtime and ensure optimum efficiency of plant machinery

What you will need to succeed as a Maintenance Technician;

• You will have previous experience with mechanical & electrical fault finding
• You should have experience within a manufacturing environment
• You will have knowledge of pneumatics
• You should have Electrical & mechanical maintenance knowledge
