Materials Planners (Multiple roles)
Grafton Procurement and Supply, Belfast, are working in partnership with a leading NI manufacturer as they restructure their supply chain department. My client is seeking to appoint a number of Materials Planners on a fixed-term contract basis to be based at their Portadown site. Immediate starts are available. The successful Materials Planners will be joining one of Northern Ireland's fastest-growing manufacturers at an exciting time in their development. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, as a Materials Planner you will plan and schedule parts from a global supply chain to ensure deadlines and customer demand is met. You will communicate schedules to assigned suppliers following MRP runs and expedite purchase parts as and when required to support production. You will Liaise with the Quality department to ensure supplier rejections are promptly dealt with and at all times ensure that work is carried out in accordance with company procedures. As a Materials Planner, you will manage inventory levels and maintain daily and weekly key performance indicators against assigned suppliers. You will attend and report as necessary on assigned suppliers both internally and externally and be responsible for the smooth running of the purchasing department.

In order to be successful, you should have significant experience in materials planning and scheduling in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You should have strong commercial awareness and have an understanding of costs within a business. You should have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. You should be highly organized, with the ability to forward plan. Excellent communication and negotiation skills required.
