Grafton are currently working in partnership with their Civil Service client, to recruit a temporary Parliamentary Reporter, based in Belfast to start ASAP for a duration of 12 Months with possibility of extension.
Payrate: £13.18 per hour
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
To provide a parliamentary reporting service to the Office of the Official Report (Hansand).
The job involves turning recorded sound into a typed, substantially verbatim transcript that is grammatically correct and that meets exacting in-house editorial and procedural guidelines.
Repoorters to work to tight deadlines and may be expected to attend meetings to provide a written log of proceedings.
An excellent and proven working knowledge of the English language and good keyboard skills.
Previous editorial and /or parliamentary reporting experience would be desirable and very beneficial.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Access NI Disclosure check at a cost of £18/£26/£33. A person's criminal record will not, in itself, debar that person from being appointed to this post. Any information given will be treated in the strictest confidence.
