Payroll Controller

My client based in Carrickfergus urgently requires a Payroll Controller for a period of 6 months. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in an established finance team. The salary on offer is C£25,000- immediately available candidates are welcome.

The role:

  • Monthly payroll processing for 5 groups companies (circa 500 employees)
  • Sending relevant statutory HMRC monthly reports (FPS,EPS)
  • Payroll taxes and payment deadlines
  • Pension contributions and payments
  • Annual P11D submissions
  • Manage monthly expense claims payments to staff
  • Assisting in the posting and coding of purchase invoices
  • Advice and guidance on payroll issues
  • Maintaining FCA compliance at all times

Key skills:

  • At least two years experience in a similar position
  • 4 GCSE's Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a payroll processing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office packages including Excel
  • Experienced in Sage Payroll or equivalent systems
  • Able to organise and prioritise own workload, use own initiative and take responsibility for given tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and add value to the finance team
