Job Description

Duties will include:

  • Full maintenance of Purchase ledger including matching & coding invoices
  • Posting invoices to ledger
  • Approving invoices for payments
  • Issuing PO numbers in Management accountant's absence
  • Statement reconciliation for suppliers
  • Maintain the aged payable list for weekly review
  • Handling all accounts payable enquiries and responding to email queries in a timely manner
  • Send remittances to suppliers following payment
  • Other adhoc duties as required


  • 2 years experience working in a Purchase Ledger clerk or accounts payable role
  • Strong IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent planning and organising skills


  • 5 GCSE's Grades C or above to include English & Maths (or equivalent)

Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm.
