Purchase Ledger Clerk

Newry

Permanent

The Client: Located in Newry, the company are a construction services company specialising in refurbishment, fit out, new build and also providing a range of specialist services

Hours of work: Mon to Fri 9am - 5pm

Duties:

  • Control of the Purchase Ledger (GBP and Euro)
  • Reconciliation of supplier invoices against statements,
  • Collating delivery dockets and checking against invoices
  • Checking invoices against purchase orders and monthly cheque payments to suppliers
  • Credit application forms to Suppliers
  • Maintenance of Subcontractor insurance list
  • General office administration
  • Completing stationery orders

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 GCSE's or equivalent Grade C or above including Maths and English
  • Excellent IT skills including detailed knowledge of Excel and the ability to manage a database package
  • SAGE Accounts experience
  • Experience working with invoices, delivery dockets and purchase orders
  • Positive attitude towards team working and strong organisational skills
  • Previous experience within a construction company
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Good customer service skills both on the telephone and face to face, ability to use initiative and to work to strict deadlines

In Return:

  • Salary: £19k
  • Holiday Entitlement: 28 days pro rata, including statutory and public holidays
