Job Description

Our Public sector client in the Antrim area are looking to recruit a Senior Leisure attendant to join their team on a full time 6 months basis.

Main Purpose of the Job:

  • Providing a strong customer focused and customer driven facility
  • Efficient and efficient supervision of the day-to-day operation

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist customers throughout the leisure centre to ensure their safe and enjoyable use of the facilities (indoor and outdoor) and involvement in activities
  • Undertake full receptionist duties including cash handling, lodgement and reconciling of monies. Operating associated IT and administrative systems, waiting lists, display system, membership sales and customer relationship correspondence
  • Promote the safe use of all fitness suite equipment
  • Attend regular staff training specific to health and safety, evacuation procedures and all other essential and corporate training.
  • Responsibility for ensuring leisure attendant deployment work plan during shift by preparing daily rota. Allocate duties to staff, supervising work to ensure cleanliness and service needs are met
  • Actively participate in the achievement of quality accreditation's such as QUEST
  • Complete all necessary documentation pertaining to the post such as safety checklist, customer comments, and accident and incident reports keeping the line manager informed of any findings
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer service including taking ownership of customer queries, complaints, booking enquiries and related administration to ensure high customer and service standard provision
  • Actively promote events, facilities and leisure memberships to potential and existing customers. Contribute to membership campaigns/schemes/offers

Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 6 months experience of working in a leisure centre or similar relevant environment

Minimum 3 months experience with the public in a customer service environment

Experience of operating a point sale system

Possess supervisory experience within the last 2 years

Competent in the use of Windows applications and Microsoft office including word, outlook and excel

A sound working knowledge of and interest in health related fitness, sport, leisure

Desirable Criteria:

Hold a current recognised First Aid Qualification

Hold other recognised group exercise qualification

Experience in sales and marketing of a health and fitness provider/service

Experience of operating a leisure management system
