Soft Services Manager | Pharmaceutical |Fixed-term contract | Swords

The Client: Based in Dublin North, our client is a leading pharmaceutical company with a global presence. They are seeking to appoint a Soft Services Manager to join the business. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing soft service activities such as cleaning, security, pest control and on-site buildings and road maintenance.

This is a fixed-term contract role until December 2019 and there is a possibility that the role will be extended, depending on business requirements.

The key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Maintain soft services to the highest standards for in line with contractual metrics
  • Manage cross functional team of employees across all support roles
  • Manage independent contractors including janitorial and maintenance staff
  • Source service providers and vendors when required and assist in the sourcing and hiring of new employees as required
  • Manage soft services budget
  • Project Management of in scope and out of scope soft services
  • Produce on time and accurate monthly performance reports
  • Cost effective management of site buildings and grounds
  • Manage Soft Services help desk and & and ensure all calls and requests are closed out in a timely manner
  • Ensure all soft services activities are completed in compliance with site procedures, Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality
  • Ensure safe work practices at all times, risk assess work tasks when required to diminish unsafe situations
  • Liaise with site safety officers and ask for advice when required

Experience/Skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years people and project management experience, preferably in a soft services management rile within the sphere of facility management
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and manage successful teams
  • Knowledge of Financial systems and controls
  • Competent trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to work off own initiative
  • Provide support to peers & leadership for your team
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships
  • Technical / Business qualification to Degree level or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in similar role
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical/heavily regulated environment an advantage
