Job description

Grafton Recruitment are working in partnership with a large public sector organisation to recruit a temporary Staff Officer to start as soon as possible for a duration of 4 months

Pay rate: 0-12 week's £9.50

13+ week's £15.87

Location: AFBI New Forge, 18a New Forge Lane, Belfast, BT9 5PX

Hours: 37 per week

Essential Criteria

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths
  • 2 A-levels in any subject
  • 12 Months experience managing the recruitment process end to end within a medium sized organisation (greater than 250 employees)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven experience of team management and development
  • Knowledge and understanding of Fair Employment Monitoring including Article 55 Review and Section 75 reporting
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages

Desirable

  • CIPD Qualification

  • Experience working with HR Connect Systems

Duties

  • To oversee and manage on an ongoing basis, all recruitment activity (including agency staff) within AFBI and demonstrate good governance and full adherence to current procedures, policies and timelines
  • Manage a delegated recruitment budget to remain within an agreed limit
  • To be responsible for developing a revamped induction process for new joiners and new promotes across AFBI
  • To manage AFBI's transfer list and implement transfers where possible
  • To manage staff within remit
  • To ensure all reporting responsibilities are adhered to including:
  • Audit recommendations and associated actions are implemented
  • Provide monthly and adhoc statistical reports on all aspects of Workforce Planning
  • To complete the Section 75, Article 55, Fair Employment Monitoring Return in line with equality guidelines and timescales
  • To be responsible for the staff database and organisational charts, amending as necessary
  • To adhere to General Data Protection Regulation
  • To manage the Workforce Planning HR Intranet pages
  • To support the wider HR team where required including minute taking in meetings
  • The post holder will be required to fulfil other duties and responsibilities as determined by management that fall within the remit of the post
