Grafton Procurement and Supply, Belfast, are working in partnership with a leading manufacturer to appoint for an exciting new supply chain post in their business. My client is seeking to appoint a Supply Chain Implant to be based between their state of the art manufacturing site in Lisburn and a key European supplier in Lithuania. This is a broad supply chain role suitable for proactive and adaptable individuals who can work independently with minimal supervision. You will join a local success story and award-winning business who are at the fore of their industry.
The Supply Chain Implant will report to the Purchasing Manager and will take full ownership of managing a key European supplier. You will be responsible for all processes from the point of order to the order fulfilment, controlling and managing all processes within the supply chain to ensure on-time delivery.
As Supply Chain Implant you will work with the supplier to ensure that supplier processes and procedures mirror that of the company. You will act as the interface point between the supplier and NPI to deliver new ranges. ensure the smooth and effective launch of new ranges. You will work closely with the supplier, monitoring performance presenting recommendations for improvement. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement and identify value-added projects. As Supply Chain Implant, you will take full responsibility for order management, materials planning and expediting. Other duties will include:
- Following up and investigate the status of outstanding account orders and failure to achieve SLA's.
- Ensuring system integrity between Decora and key account partner.
- Work with keys account on forecasting resource requirements for future demand.
- Assess volumes and plan to optimise cost effective transit options.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and advise of the most effective material usage strategy.
- Act as the first point of contact on all account queries and communicate to the relevant departments in a timely manner.
- Take a proactive role in the day-to-day management of the European account.
- Risk management of stock.
Highly competitive remuneration and benefits package available to include a base salary of up to £30000, health plan, expenses, generous annual leave entitlement and more.
In order to be successful, you should have significant experience in a similar Supply Chain role which has included supplier management and use of ERP systems. You should have worked in a high volume manufacturing or FMCG environment and have a strong track record in influencing and driving best practice. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a third level degree although this is not essential. The successful Supply Chain Implant will be travelling up to 25% - 50% of the time and should be prepared for this.
