Job description

Grafton Procurement and Supply, Belfast, have been appointed to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for an innovative, County Tyrone manufacturer. My award-winning client has grown from a small family business to a global exporter of machinery. This is a newly created role and the successful Supply Chain Manager will join a leading business who pride themselves in developing people.

The successful Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in the future growth of the business, managing the supply chain to ensure stock availability and stock holding budgets are held in line with business objectives and cost-saving initiatives are implemented. This is a full, 360 supply chain role, therefore, the successful candidate will have a real opportunity to impact the business and bottom line.

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for a multi-functional team and all areas of spend across the business. You will identify opportunities for process improvement and embed new, efficient processes across the Supply Chain department, to include the implementation of a new ERP system. You will be responsible for implementing inventory optimisation, JIT and Materials Resource Planning in the business so that key business metrics are achieved. You will work strategically to source and implement new supply chains and liaise with the existing supply base to build meaningful relationships while capitalising on savings. You will introduce supplier scoring metrics to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met and monitor supplier performance.

In order to be successful, you should be educated to degree level and have significant experience in a similar Supply Chain role which has included people management and ERP and process implementation. You should have sound business acumen and the ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
