Based at my client's state of the art manufacturing facility at the out skits of the city, the Supply Chain Planner will join a premier business who have a worldwide footprint. As Supply Chain Planner you will join a successful team and be responsible for developing and maintaining effective supply, distribution and inventory plans to support the business. You will navigate given constraints to ensure optimised supply solutions, whilst maintaining product inventory levels. As Supply Chain Planner, you will lead and execute product allocation processes, effectively managing supply constraints while pro-actively engaging with stakeholders. You will manage order fulfilment and At Risk Inventory to maximise value creation / order fulfilment. A natural leader and team player, you will support Supply Planners and Production Schedulers and other cross functional teams and at all times work to identify and execute continuous improvement and waste elimination opportunities.
Remuneration for the successful Supply Chain Planner will depend on experience - the salary scale for this position is £25000 - £35000. Other benefits include bonus structure, BUPA membership and a Contributory Pension Scheme. Working hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 3.30pm on a Friday
In order to be successful, you should have substantial previous experience in a Supply Chain / Order Fulfilment / Sales & Operations Planning role which has included the use of an ERP systems. You should have an entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated ability to pro-actively problem-solve. You should be a team player with strong business acumen. Ability to accurately undertake complex analysis to identify and solve issues is essential. In addition, the following criteria should be demonstrated:
- Ability to anticipate planning bottlenecks based on known patterns / plan fixes
- Strong communication, networking and interpersonal skills
- Behaviours driven by integrity, compliance, humility and ethics
- Strong systems skills including Microsoft Office
- Flexibility for European travel
Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to the above, hold a university degree in a business-related discipline or have similar experience which has included the use of SAP in a manufacturing setting in a large multinational.
