We are currently recruiting a high volume of temporary Trade and Certification Support Officers (TCSOs) for our client in the Public Sector, in order to support Veterinarians in the export certification of animal food products, which is anticipated to increase.
The role involves factual inspections and verification, evidence collection and documentation and will include checking identification of products and checking labelling against requirements. Applicants will be required to attain the Certifying Support Officer (CSO) accredited qualification which is authorised by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA). This online training will be completed over a six hour period with a final assessment. The course provides training for paraprofessionals who wish to work on behalf of the Government under the direction of a Certifying Officer. Additional training/mentoring will also be provided as necessary.
These positions are office based however will require those who are successful to be available and willing to work outside of normal hours as required and to carry out duties in a variety of locations across NI in a wide range of premises, for example, processing plants, wholesalers, fish premises, slaughterhouses. Some may be in challenging environments.
