Job Description

Our Mechanical and Electrical Client in the Antrim area are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full time permanent basis

The accounts assistant will be a key part of the finance team, reporting to the finance director and working alongside the Accountant and other team members, ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the finance function.

Main Duties:

  • Receive , record and process all sales and purchase invoices
  • Ensure all purchase invoices have been authorised and coded before entering onto the purchase ledger
  • Verify calculations and input codes in to the accounts systems in an accurate manner
  • Received and process all expense claim forms and requests for payments
  • Prepare invoices and expense claims for payment by BACS/cheques
  • Receive and process all time sheets
  • Ensure that all filing is done accurately and on a regular basis
  • Assist internal and external clients with queries and clarifications
  • Provide assistance to the monthly management accounts processes

Essential Criteria:

  • 2 years' experience of working within an accounts department
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including excellent EXCEL skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge of Navision Accounting software or similar package
