BookKeeper

Temp to Perm

Newry, Co.Down

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper looking to pursue a career in Newry Co.Down in the Property services Industry. The ideal candidate must be confident, organised and can handle their work load effectively, with the ability to work under pressure.

Hours of work flexible - Monday to Friday.

Basic Job Description

  • Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary
  • Input tenants money received, pay landlords & contractors
  • Liaise with tenants and landlords for accounting queries
  • Register deposits
  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Input purchase and sales ledger
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Bring the books to the trial balance stage
  • Provide information to the company accountant
  • Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested

Requirements

  • Proven bookkeeping experience
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Efficient and organised work ethic and good management of own work load
  • Ability to keep systems up to date
