Job Description

Our Client, a large Public Sector organisation is currently seeking a Business and Research Officer who is available immediately

Job Role: Temporary Business and Research Officer

Location: Belfast City Centre

Hours of Work: 37 Mon-Fri- 9am-5pm

Rate of Pay: £9.50/hour

Duration of assignment: 12 weeks

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the monitoring system including but not limited to:

  • data governance; ensuring information is accurate and submitted on time
  • adding new contracts to the system
  • updating contracts if required
  • running monthly and ad-hoc reports
  • ensuring the system is running as required and
  • overseeing any future development work required.

Ensure contract documentation is received and stored appropriately and in line with the Data Protection Act 1998

Work with the Head of the Unit to develop links with other key Departments

Support the collation, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantitative and qualitative social and economic research in support of the work of the scheme;

Input to internal communications systems and processes including effective preparation of draft business cases, policy documents, papers and internal working documents as required to support the team;

Coordinate and deliver administrative support to the team including note and minute taking.

Effectively support financial management systems and processes including

Essential Criteria

Experience of undertaking research and analysis of government policies, strategies and reports; and reporting key elements of same to other team members;

Proficiency in communications including,

  • creating and editing online and print content (with support from SIB's Communications team)
  • preparation of project updates and information through multiple platforms;

Experience of database maintenance, including the timely production of meaningful management information;

Experience in drafting business documentation, such as formal letters, minutes, reports etc. for a range of audiences;

Experience of working effectively independently and as a member of a team
