Grafton Procurement and Supply, Belfast are working in partnership with a leading international e-commerce business who have a worldwide customer portfolio. My client are recruiting for a Buying Manager to be based at their commercial offices in greater Belfast. This is an exciting time for a Senior Buyer / Buying Manager who has worked in a multi-million pound buying department to carve in a career in a renowned business during an exciting period of growth.
As Buying Manager, you will join a busy buying and merchandising department and report to the Director. It will be your job to lead a team of buyers, being responsible for the commercial strategy within your assigned categories. You will work cross functionally with the merchandising manager to create innovate market ranges that meet international market needs, supports customer proposition and achieves departmental goals. You will analyse and interpret large data sets, ensuring that the unit and category performance is in line with targets. As Buying Manager, you will travel to suppliers and introduce new supply chains as required.

Hours of work are 39.25 per week, Monday to Friday and start / finish times can be tailored to suit business and individual needs. This role will be initially based at my client's commercial premises in greater Belfast. Within the next 12 months you will be moving to a new state of the art facility in the Mullusk area.
The successful Buying Manager should be a data driven individual with experience of buying within a multi-million pound buying/merchandising department. You should have people management experience. Additional essential criteria as follows:
- Third level qualification, minimum grade 2:2 business related or relevant experience
- Specific product and market knowledge
- Experience of E commerce business practices.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to manipulate data and present it in varied, clear and concise formats
- Proficient in extracting data from varied sources
- Ability to query data and filter out desired information with efficient methods of data storage and management
- Experience with Competitor Monitor and/or Qlikview
