Communications Executive (Maternity Cover)

Grafton are recruiting on behalf of our client, a global market leader for a Communications Executive. You will be responsible for providing a range of reporting, functional and comms support to enhance the Firm's external reputation and internal communications. This is the ideal role for someone with a truly global outlook to join the team who has a very strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine interest in working for a leading international professional services firm.

Responsibilities:

* Compiling a daily (morning) news report which consolidates the Firm's global media coverage from the last 24 hours (please note, this operates on a 8-4, 9-5 fortnightly rotation with the other Comms Exec)
* Posting press releases and additional communication materials to the Firm's website
* Helping run the Firm's global social media accounts, including creation of campaigns, and
periodically auditing local or practice group-owned accounts
* Producing a weekly Global Media Highlights newsletter to be sent to Firm leadership and
other key stakeholders
* Production of a quarterly media and social media analysis dashboard that examines in detail company's media profile across the regions and service / industries, and compares performance to key competitors
* Tracking media coverage of particular issues, developments or campaigns and providing analysis reports when required
* Assisting members of the Communications team with the production of additional materials to support communications campaigns, including press releases, messaging documents and by-lined articles
* Working with the Firm's design team to produce infographics or PowerPoint slides covering profile-raising progress or milestones
* Creating bespoke media lists for targeting profile-raising opportunities around specific events or new initiatives, such as World Economic Forum or a new piece of thought leadership; Setting up media interview opportunities at these events (remotely)
* Supporting the Firm's cross-border (and other) global awards submissions
* Working with the Global Communications team on editing the firm's global intranet homepage

Person Specification:

* University degree
* 3 years experience in communications at a PR agency, corporate communications department, newspaper or magazine
* Experience of working for global business, law, or professional services firms a plus
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* A solid understanding of PR and the news media process
* Interest in or experience of internal communications
* Knowledgeable in social media (creating quality content and administering channels)
* Analytically minded - compiling reports is a key part of this role
* MS SharePoint experience a plus
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
* Advanced skills in MS Word and PowerPoint
* Strong team player; able to communicate effectively within a diverse, multicultural environment
