Digital Marketing Executive

Grafton are recruiting for a Digital Marketing Executive on behalf of our client, a leading Builders Merchant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to further their career with an established company, developing a leading brand.


* Online promotion of all digital marketing activity and overall management of the Group websites
* Write new and update existing content throughout the Group's websites e.g. product pages, news, events, slideshow, branch pages, clearance section, Best Buys etc. using various Content Management Systems
* Work with internal departments and external supplier and 3rd party agencies to develop two new web platforms
* Use Google Analytics and other available sources to evaluate activity, report on website performance and recommend development
* Liaise with and brief design agencies to adapt existing offline graphics into visuals suitable for online use
* Monitor enquiries generated through the Group website(s) and report on their success and customer satisfaction
* Plan, develop, distribute and monitor ezine & SMS campaigns on a regular basis and evaluate their impact
* Develop, implement and manage online data capture strategies to grow online databases and manage databases accordingly
* Deliver recommendations and execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals (both general and keyword specific)
* Manage multiple social media pages and App
* Continually update knowledge of trends and development in relation to SEO, search engine, social media and internet marketing
* On-going internal SEO development combined with managing SEO activity with third party agencies on specific projects
* Manage PPC and display advertising campaigns with third party providers
* Manage on-going relationship with third party providers of website development work
* Attend and present at quarterly Marketing review meetings
* Work closely with the Social Media Manager and Associate Director, Marketing to build internal relationships within the Company
* Responsible for driving on-going development of the site and associate websites in the Group
* Ensure any issues are highlighted and dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
* Put forward ideas to ensure targets and objectives are achieved within the department
* Assist with the regular marketing events or promotions
* Report to the Associate Director, Marketing regularly on progress being made in all key areas

Essential Criteria:

* 2 years digital marketing experience
* Qualification in a marketing, communication or digital media field
* Experience in maintaining and updating multiple websites using various Content Management Systems
* Experience in working with external agencies to develop new websites
* Experience of using Google Analytics platform
* Experience of managing multiple social media platforms
* Experience of operating at a strategic level in the growth and development of a digital marketing function
* Develop and management of on-line data capture
* Experience of developing proactive and creative marketing ideas with a proven record of success
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
* Able to develop a positive on-going working relationship at all levels across a Company
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to liaise with all levels of management up to and including board level
* Good organisation skills with a focus on attention to detail

Desirable Criteria:

* Third level degree in a marketing or digital media field
* Experience of running an E Commerce website
* 3 years digital marketing experience
* Experience of writing SEO enabled content
* Experience of operating within the general construction sector
* Experience of PPC advertising
* Experience of working with and managing multiple external agencies
* Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
