Job Description

Director of Marketing

Grafton are currently recruiting on behalf of our client within the hospitality sector for a tenacious and commercially driven Director of Marketing. You will be responsible for the marketing and digital communications for the resort in terms of strategic design, implantation and management of a range of on and off line communication strategies.

Responsibilities:

· Creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the resorts image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications;

· Organising all of the resorts marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations, client acquisition etc. in a consistent and professional manner;

· Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all resort publications;

· Coordinate media interest in the resort and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests;

· Act as the representative with the media and associated organisations;

· Develop strategic communications planning for promotion and dissemination of resort and marketing content;

· Develop promotions and communications liaising with other departments and the management team;

· Create, adopt, improve and optimise e-commerce opportunities for the resort;

· Manage online partner relationships;

· Manage the corporate branding in terms of appearance of print, electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures etc.

· Develop and maintain social media profiles and quality content on Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook and LinkedIn;

· Develop other relevant social media outlets to support and expand out digital presence;

· Draft and preparation of resort communications for media print, emails, e-zines, blogs etc.

· Monitor competitor activities and content;

· Craft media campaigns;

· Manage inbound marketing systems to campaign development and data analysis;

· Optimise print to generate interaction and brand exposure and sales;

· Identify appropriate print and social media channels for targeted marketing campaigns;

· Build a strong on line reputation for the resort;

· Monitor, review and keep company website updated and accurate;

· Develop and implement customer comment function;

· Manage the marketing executive team member in an effective and progressive manner


Person Specification:

· Extensive experience of Marketing at Director level, within a luxury hotel property which is well recognized for excellence, innovation and high standards

· Proven ability to manage, lead and direct a successful team

· Strong analytical skills, business savvy and the ability to multitask are all essential

· Strong research and analytical skills

· In-depth understanding of the company's current products and future concepts

· Ability to think creatively and innovatively

· Professional judgment and discretion

· Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges

· Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.

· Organised with a pragmatic, hands on approach to work

· Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
