The company

Leading providers of accountancy, tax, investment management, corporate and financial advisory services.

In this role you will provide directors with full secretarial support.


  • Typing - audio and copy typing of general correspondence, production of client portfolios and spreadsheets, attending meetings and taking minutes
  • Diary Management - taking control of diary movements, arranging appointments, meetings and lunches and also calling clients to confirm arrangements
  • Meetings and events - preparing all relevant material for internal meetings, collating information, producing reports, photocopying and distributing
  • Coordinating events, invitation lists and mail merge
  • Telephone: answering calls quickly and politely, passing calls to appropriate person where possible, taking accurate messages when necessary, dealing with general enquiries
  • Monitoring Directors' emails when they are out of the office. Forwarding emails to relevant staff members where necessary
  • Amending client details and ensuring database information kept up to date
  • Ensuring standard letters are kept up to date and distributed to all secretaries
  • Completing time sheets for both him/herself and Directors
  • Sort and record incoming and outgoing mail in accordance with company policy
  • Provide cover for reception area when required


  • Required - proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel so as to be able to process documents efficiently and assist others
  • Typing - over 60 words per minute - tests will be provided
  • Judgement - knowing how to deal with problems that arise, knowing when to involve the staff director, ability to think ahead and anticipate events
  • Planning and organising - will need to be able to organise his/her own time so as to meet deadlines
  • Written communication - good grammar and spelling so as to be able to produce documents accurately and quickly, ability to draft own correspondence clearly and accurately
  • Team work - to work well with other secretaries in the office, flexibility and willingness to help others out is essential
  • Relevant vocational qualifications preferred but not essential with requisite experience
  • Educated to at least leaving certificate level, ideally with strong grades in Maths and English
  • Secretarial experience, ideally gained within a financial or professional services firm
  • Experience of producing a range of formal correspondence
  • Ability to work well in a pressurised environment and to effectively prioritise work

This is an urgent requirement with interviews taking place this week. The successful candidate will take part in a 5 minute typing test (online), a face to face interview in Dublin and a phone screening followed by security checks.
