As part of our clients continued Growth, an opportunity has arisen within their finance team for a Finance Administrator to join their team

About the role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for a varied range of duties including Sales Ledger and Despatching, Customer Document Delivery, Departmental Administration and Purchase Ledger. This role is designed to provide support within the department and enhance versatility across the department.

Key Responsibilities: (not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive)

Sales Ledger & Despatching

  • Bulk & TNTs despatching and carriage
  • Daily Invoicing
  • Carriage consolidation
  • PODs
  • Driver dockets / folders
  • Customer receipts, record & post to Sage and allocations
  • Proformas administration
  • Credit Notes processing
  • Copy invoice requests from customers
  • Copy statement requests from customers

Customer Document Delivery

  • Engage with customers to convert document delivery from paper to electronic means.

Departmental Administration

  • Banking
  • Reception cover
  • Stationery
  • Storage Room organisation

Purchase Ledger & Finance

  • Assist with Purchase ledger and other Finance related tasks as required.

Other Responsibilities

  • Any other duties at the discretion and request of the Accountant & Financial Controller.

Essential Criteria:

  • Five GCSE passes or equivalent including Grade C+ in English and Maths
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a busy finance department or office environment
  • Experience and confidence in liaising with a range of personnel from various disciplines
  • Excellent working knowledge of Sage accounting
  • Excellent IT skills in particular Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written
  • Good use of initiative
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to manage hourly/daily deadlines
  • Good team player, willing to assistant colleague within a busy, fast paced environment

  • Reliable and confident
  • Ability to work effectively in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Willing to continuously learn and keep knowledge and skills up to date

Desirable Criteria:

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent
  • A working knowledge/experience in the use of Sales Logix
