Finance Manager

Location: Greater Belfast or Lisburn or Antrim

Salary: 32k-35k negotiable plus excellent benefits

Grafton Accountancy & Finance Division is working in partnership with a leading Technology firm.

My client is a local market leading, progressive Technology firm located in the Greater Belfast area. They have a current opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their management team at the Belfast site. This is a full time, permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

The role

Finance Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director the Finance Manager will:

Primary Responsibility:

The successful candidate for the role of Finance Manager will have responsibility for the preparation, interpretation and communication of financial information to a senior management level. Focusing on covering reporting, budgets, forecasts, accounts, and financial statements. They will have the ability to lead a small finance team and will report directly to the Managing Director.

Duties

  • The Finance Manager will ensure finance processes and procedures are followed within company policy.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with auditors.
  • Promoting strong financial control and cost control within the business.
  • Manage and monitor the sales ledger process implementing and overseeing strong debtor control.
  • Providing the link between finance department and commercial / operations departments, as well as external interested parties.
  • Ensure income reconciliation process followed.
  • Production of accurate and timely monthly, and annual Management Accounts.
  • Development of budgets and forecasts in line with corporate strategy.
  • Developing and managing financial systems/models.
  • Production of financial information and reports as required.
  • Management and development of a small existing finance team.

Criteria

  • The successful Finance Manager will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), consideration given to candidates that have no more than one professional exam level remaining.
  • 5 years' experience working within a financial department as Finance Manager.
  • At least 2 years' experience of leading a financial team and managing all aspects of their development.
  • Management accounting experience including budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting.
  • Competent in using Accounting software packages, preferably SAGE accounts.
  • Ability to produce reports from SAGE Accounts software is desirable.

The Rewards

The successful Finance Manager will enjoy a competitive starting salary circa £32,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience plus benefits.

Location

The Finance Manager will ideally live within the Greater Belfast area however the client is willing to speak with candidates that may be open to travel or even relocation.
