HR & Payroll Officer - Belfast - Leading Utilities organisation

Grafton HR is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a leading utilities organisation based in Belfast, currently seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Manager on a permanent basis.

As HR & Payroll Officer, you support the HR Manager in delivering an exceptional HR and Payroll service to the organisation, including managing all people matters across the business relating to recruitment and selection, employee relations, training and people development, payroll, remuneration and benefits, systems and administration together with other welfare matters.

The role:

  • Process monthly payroll accurately, ensuring all information is accurate and meets HMRC requirements
  • Ensure administration process and systems are continually reviewed and improved
  • Responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle, managing all agency correspondence
  • Oversee employee inductions, ensuring relevant paperwork and process are completed
  • Collate information and prepare annual monitoring return and Article 55 review, ensuring adherence with the Equality Commission requirements
  • Provide advice and guidance to line management / staff on HR policies and procedures
  • Support managers with all employee relations matters, such as grievances, disciplinary hearings and investigations
  • Monitoring absence management across the business
  • Support the HR Manager with all training and development
  • Assist the HR Manager with annual salary benchmarking to ensure the business remains competitive

The right fit

  • Third level qualification or relevant experience
  • CIPD part or fully qualified
  • 2+ years experience in a similar position with solid HR administration experience across full HR lifecycle
  • Experience of recruitment administration
  • Experience of advising managers and participating in all aspects of recruitment
  • Experience of handling employee relations matters
  • Ideally have experience of payroll administration
