Grafton HR is delighted to be representing our client, a leading manufacturing organisation based in Lisburn, with the recruitment of a newly created HR Officer role.
Due to sustained growth across the organisation, both in terms of turnover and headcount, the need has arisen to appoint an additional HR Officer to join the team, working in conjunction with the HR team, to provide a strong and commercially viable HR service to its stakeholders.

Manage short term absence throughout the business in line with the Absence Management policy, managing trigger absence reports and supporting Managers with associated attendance disciplinary action.
Case management of all long term absence e.g. home visits, liaising with occupational health and supporting return to work plans with the Manager.
Seek to reduce absenteeism by highlighting trends in absenteeism across departments, shifts etc, train and work with Supervisors to improve quality of absence documentation.
Carry out disciplinary investigations, hearings, appeals and grievances, seeking guidance from the Senior HR Officer on more complex issues.
Provide guidance to Managers and Supervisors on a wide range of employment / legislative matters.
Full management of recruitment process for internal, support and administration positions.
Manage contractual documentation, liaising with relevant parties to ensure onboarding process is managed.
Ensure Annual Objective review documentation is received, updating systems in line with ISO procedures.
Management of Flexible Working process, providing support and guidance to Managers on legislative requirements.
Weekly / monthly reporting, updating HR systems and compilation of statistical information as required.
Update contractual documentation, policies and procedures as required by the HR Manager / Senior HR Officer and in line with legislative developments.
Lead and manage various HR projects as directed by the Human Resources Manager and in line with HR objectives.
Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years HR related experience, ideally gained in a fast paced commercial environment.
Third level qualification, preferably in a Business related discipline
Excellent knowledge of current Northern Ireland employment legislation
Experience of Absence Management
Experience of handling of disciplinary investigations, hearings, appeals and grievances
Experience of managing simultaneous recruitment campaigns
Knowledge of computerised HR systems
