HR Officer - County Fermanagh - Leading private sector organisation

Grafton HR is excited to be working in partnership with a leading multi-site retail business.

My client is recruiting for a HR Officer on a permanent basis, to be based at their site in County Fermanagh, working in partnership with the organisation to ensure the people strategy and business strategy are well aligned.

The successful HR Officer will enjoy working within a well-established HR team, for a large private sector organisation, with multiple sites based throughout Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

The company

The organisation I am representing are a leading multi-site retail organisation, established over 30 years ago, based in County Fermanagh, with multiple sites throughout NI and ROI.

The position

The successful HR Officer will work within a team environment, partnering with key internal stakeholders to ensure the companies people strategy and business strategy is well aligned. Responsible for the people agenda across close to 10 sites, the successful candidate will drive a strong company culture of people development and leadership across the business.

As HR Officer, you will partner with the management team across multiple sites, providing advice and guidance on various people related matters, including policies and procedures, employee relations, recruitment, reports, as well as co-ordinating and scheduling staff training. As this is a fast paced retail business, employee relations will form a key part of the HR Offers job duties, advising management on the proper process for handling diciplinaries and grievances.

The HR Officer will assess the business as a whole, ensuring the right people are doing the right roles, identifying top talent early to ensure it is developed through appropriate development programmes. This will ultimately contribute to strong employee engagement, motivating employees to develop internally and progress, reducing staff turnover.

The successful candidate

To apply for this exciting HR Officer opportunity, it is essential you possess the following:

  • 2 years HR Generalist experience
  • Strong administration skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Extensive experience around employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance processes.

Although not essential, multi-site experience is highly desirable
