HR Operations Business Partner - Belfast

My client is recruiting for a HR Operations Business Partner on a permanent basis, to be based at their site in Belfast.
The successful HR Operations Business Partner will enjoy working in a growing, constantly evolving environment, supporting a large workforce across multiple sites, based in NI, ROI and GB. While the role does have an element of travel, the successful candidate will be offered the flexibility to work from home.
Boasting an array of high profile clients, the HR Operations Business Partner will join a well-established, market leading business based in Belfast.
The successful HR Operations Business Partner will be commercially minded, partnering with various senior internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor, ensuring the HR advice service they provide genuinely adds value to the different business areas.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful HR Operations Business Partner will be responsible for the HR function across various sites based in NI, ROI and GB, therefore there will be a travel element to this role.
The HR Operations Business Partner will advise senior management on various people matters, including employee relations issues such as disciplinaries, grievances and absence management processes. Other responsibilities include advising on TUPE transfers, acquisitions, employee engagement initiatives, employment tribunals, employment legislation updates, change management and restructuring, all while developing and maintaining strong working relationship with union representatives.
Staff retention and development is high on the people agenda, therefore the successful candidate will be heavily involved in talent management, ensuring top internal talent is identified and developed, ultimately leading to an engaged and highly productive workforce.
This is a complex role, therefore a dynamic approach is essential, with the ability to adapt to various people related scenarios.
The successful candidate

- Strong HR Generalist experience gained within a fast paced, highly commercial environment
- Extensive employee relations experience, which should include taking the lead on disciplinary and grievances, as well as handling sickness/absence.
- Up to date employment legislation knowledge
- TUPE / Acquisition experience
Although not essential, experience of trade union negotiations and change management, including redundancies and restructures, would be highly beneficial.
