Job Description

Our client in the Coleraine area are looking to recruit a Customer Account Controller to join their team on a permanent basis

Full time

Main Responsibilities :

  • Ensuring customers keep buying from Client by servicing their post sales needs
  • Proactively resolving all queries or reasons for payment being delayed
  • Timely collection of balances falling due within authorised payment terms
  • Where payments are not being made within terms, constructing strict and clear agreements to recoup the additional time granted to pay within an acceptable time frame
  • Managing Credit Risk by reviewing assigned accounts with the CM/DCM;taking into account payment terms, days beyond terms, payment performance and risk based on filed accounts/credit checking
  • To reconcile customer accounts ensuring all audit processes are followed
  • Regularly liaising with assigned account to identify new opportunities to pass to the Sales Force
  • Proactively review assigned accounts ensuring customers are contacted who qualify for an extension to payment terms
  • Provide detailed information on the assigned accounts to management on a weekly, fortnightly or as required basis
  • Develop positive relationships with all departments with the objective of securing the most rewarding outcome for the company and the customer
  • From time to time, provide additional support to the Admin team if the needs if the business require it

Essential Criteria :

  • A Minimum of 5GCSE's ( or Equivalent ) at A-C grade including Maths and English
  • Understanding of Accounts or Customer Service
  • Smart and professional team player
  • Excellent communicator
  • Results orientated and target driven
  • Clear communicator both face to face and on the telephone

Desirable Criteria :

  • Business Degree/3rd level qualification in Business
  • Understanding of Credit/Management and cash flow
  • 2 Year's experience in customer management/sales role or accounts function
  • Demonstrate ability to think fast and overcome objections
