International Business Development Manager

Our client, a global IT services provider and Microsoft Alliance partner are offering a career defining opportunity for a seasoned IT Business Development Manager to take their profession to the next level. This position will give you the opportunity to excel in one of the fastest growing companies in the UK and Ireland. The role will require 80%+ international travel across the UK, Ireland and the United States. The ideal individual will have a passionate interest in technology, capable of immersing themselves into its functionality to achieve a holistic understanding of it commercial value. Responsibilities:

* Identify and close direct sales opportunities
* Manage and develop new and existing resellers
* Develop a network of contacts to promote the company in specific territories
* Liaise with marketing team to promote the company
* Create and manage pipeline and provide accurate forecasting
* Demonstrating products to customers and working with Technical Pre-Sales Consultants
* Following up with customers in an Account Management style environment - ensuring satisfactory post-implementation support is provided
* Identify and become familiar with competitors
* Identify and become familiar with target markets
* Update CRM database as required
* Provide reports and relay information with the senior management team and company directors
* Adhere to company policies

Success within the role will be measured on the achievement of the following deliverables:

* To develop a manage a 3 year Business Growth Strategy to meet sales targets
* To identify and target new territories and identify and secure new Resellers
* To secure key lead Customers in Government, Universities and Commerce in each designated country

Person Specification:

* Minimum of 5 years International Sales experience, ideally in a Software, IT services or Telecoms Environment
* Experience with both Direct Sales and Reseller Acquisition and Management
* Ability to work on own initiative, to rank opportunities and to prioritise activities
* Experience of meeting and exceeding revenue sales targets
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to converse at all levels
* Possess and display a good work ethic to maximise business development
* Ambition to grow geographical territory to build and then lead a team in line with business growth strategy
* Fully computer literate
