Now expanding on their Service Desk team, there is a new opportunity for four 2nd/ 3rd Line Support Engineers to work within an exciting expanding company and support environment. I'm looking for someone with a flexible approach to undertake exciting new project-work as well as high-end Network and Server Support.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for IT and a willingness to remain 100% hands-on in the on-site technology. In this role you will be working as part of a dynamic service desk providing support both remotely and at customer premises working with IT users to resolve problems and answer questions on a variety of hardware components and software programs.
You'll need to demonstrate strong technical skills with 2 or more of the following:
* Windows 2008/12/12R2
* VMWare ESX
* Citrix - including XenDesktop
* Knowledge of multi-site environments
This is a project and support role with a great deal of autonomy working under the IT Operations Manager as part of a team of Support Engineers. An ability to demonstrate previous project experience with the above technologies would provide a sound base of knowledge for this role and the focus of the business.
You will benefit from working within a team of highly experienced and well qualified support specialists where best practise and knowledge is shared openly. The team are not restricted in the issues they support and are able to develop their skill-set whilst in the role.
Training and Development
Internal training on products and services will be provided. However, the successful candidate will also be expected to consistently keep abreast of new developments, which would impact on his/her areas of responsibility.
