Job Description

Marketing Executive

Grafton are recruiting on behalf of a leading communications company for a Marketing Executive. You will be proactive and customer focused in all aspects of the role and be responsible for providing the main form of support to the Sales and Marketing Manager on the full range of marketing activities.


* Manage the design, development and updating of company promotional material both online and print
* Handling all marketing queries
* Controlling both direct mail and web based marketing campaigns
* Database management - maintaining and updating mailing databases
* Managing web content and streamlining existing content to make more user-friendly
* Updating website regularly and handling any related issues
* Monitoring web statistics
* Support for all aspects of the administration function to the Marketing Department
* Developing and maintaining customer feedback procedures to include; surveys and welcome packs
* Co-ordinate contract renewal contacts and process and liaise with contract customers, Customer Service, Finance & Sales
* Managing maintenance contract reports and contacting customers regards renewal of contracts
* Developing work instructions for marketing procedures in line with the BSI quality standards
* Introduce and maintain on-going social media to gain brand recognition
* Writing press releases where required
* Strive to achieve cost effective advert/editorial opportunities and booking and designing adverts/writing editorials
* Pursue event/conference opportunities. Liaising with organisers and providing presentations and marketing materials
* To assist in the Support Team as and when required

Person Specification:

* 2 year's experience in a Marketing position
* Marketing or Business related Degree with a marketing focus
* 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above to include English and Maths
* Knowledge of effective marketing principles
* Experience in creating promotional literature and information
* Experience of working with a company website in maintaining and managing content
* Excellent administration skills
* Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
* Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheet software as well as e-mail, the internet and Microsoft Windows
* Experience working within the telecommunications/data communications background would be desirable
