Marketing Manager

Grafton are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading FMCG company for a tenacious and commercially driven Marketing Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity with an excellent package for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join an established company, developing a leading brand. The successful candidate will have a proven track record and a passion for all the aspects of the marketing process.

Responsibilities:

· To lead the marketing development of the portfolio of brands in Ireland, ensuring a clear portfolio strategy is in place to guide all brand development activities

· Manage team of 2 brand managers, nurturing their personal development and the development of the brands

· Working in collaboration with commercial teams, agree short and long term brand objectives and commercial targets for the brands

· Together with commercial teams, identify the most appropriate products, brands, pricing and support to deliver growth

· To develop, deliver and evaluate the annual brand plans, including supporting collateral such as POS, sales presenters and other materials as appropriate

· To identify and deploy appropriate brand extensions, that maximise revenues and build brand equity

· Establishment and ownership of brand definition materials (including brand positioning, proposition, tone-of-voice and brand guidelines)

· Developing annual consumer and brand performance objectives against which to measure brand progress

· Development, delivery and evaluation of effective brand plans for the portfolio, including identification of optimal product range

· Delivering brand-specific activities to maximise connection with customers and target consumers

· Development of appropriate collateral including POS materials and sales presentations to support the brand

· Managing annual brand budget

· Communication with and management of key internal and external stakeholders

· Supporting sales teams in presentations to key customers as required

· Supporting the Marketing Director in other relevant activities from time to time as required

Person Specification:

· Experience of building brands against established competitors, preferably in an FMCG or drinks sector

· Experience of managing brand budgets, commercials, and measuring brand performance against both consumer and business KPIs

· Graduate level with degree in relevant subject area

· Significant experience of developing and executing integrated brand communication programmes, including PR, digital, design, advertising and media

· Experience in evaluation of effectiveness of marketing activities against agreed brand objectives

· Experience of applying strategic marketing principles and consumer insights, e.g. brand positioning

· Experience of people management essential

· Ability to maximise reach and impact of brand budgets, working with entrepreneurial mind-set

· Good creative judgement

· Ability to think conceptually

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to construct and deliver clear and compelling brand presentations to external customers and prospects

· Proven ability to build and leverage relationships with agencies, consultants, internal teams and trade customers

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
