A leading manufacturer in County Antrim have an immediate requirement for a Materials Planner to join their supply chain department on a contract basis. Initially, as Materials Planner you will be based at our client's Larne facility although there are plans in place for the successful Materials Planner to be based at my client's new factory in Belfast in the near future.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you, as Materials Planner, will manage a portfolio of materials and suppliers. It will be your job to push out and pull in materials depending on business requirements. You will be working in a fast paced manufacturing environment and will liaise with various departments to ensure that the right material is available at the right time across the supply chain. You will interpret the MRP system regularly and ensure the Bill of Materials is kept up to date at all times.
You should be an enthusiastic, hardworking and adaptable supply chain professional with previous experience in a similar position to be successful in this role. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required. A degree, although preferred, is not essential.
