Job Description

Our Client, a leading Telecommunications provider, requires Network Engineers for their Belfast site.

These are contract roles for a specific project with expected duration of 4-5 months.

Summary Description:

The primary responsibility for a Level 2 Networks Engineer is to carry out a level of triage with the ability to investigate, diagnose and resolve network issues relating to routing, switching, wireless and voice.

The Engineer(s) will:

have a broad understanding and knowledge of networking, with a Cisco background preferred. The engineer will commit to obtaining and maintaining 2 Cisco CCNA certifications in any of Cisco's core disciplines.

work to challenging SLA targets and will know when to escalate to Level 3 networks, maintaining an interest in the ultimate resolution of an incident.

be able to evaluate and schedule changes on a broad range of customer networks and will complete evaluations within target and execute changes to a schedule.

have good interpersonal skills and will be able to work with the service desk and Level 3 network engineers as well as other stakeholders as well as customers.

be able to identify problems within networked solutions and investigate these in an effort to eliminate the incidents that they generate.

A full role profile is available however experience in the following areas is essential:

* Cisco routers with experience of:
o VRFs
* Cisco ASA firewalls
o Firewall rules

An opportunity is available for working hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm and for hours of 12.00 Noon to 8.00pm/2.00pm to 10.00pm
